I'd been thinking about painting my wooden Ikea step stool ever since I got it but never quite got the push I needed. That push came in the form of a free paint pot from Dulux at their Melbourne Open House booth at Fed Square. Besides a kiss from the adorable Dulux dog, I got a pot of paint called Happy.
Here's what you'll need: 2 paint colours (sample pots will be enough) I used Happy and Coral Atoll by Dulux Paint brushes Painter's tape Plastic Sheet if you're painting indoors
Steps: 1. Paint the base colour, at least 2 coats. Leave to dry. 2. Use the painters tape to block up the design you want, for a nicer finish, tape up the design all the way down the sides of the steps. 3. Paint 1-2 light coats of the second colour. Let it dry before removing the tape.
Super simple and a great way to brighten up the room with furniture. Do share if you've done this project!
